Someone paying me says their bank doesn’t recognise Allica Bank. Should I be worried?
No. Sometimes a bank may say they don’t recognise Allica Bank, even when the payment details are correct.
It’s because of something called ‘Confirmation of Payee’, which is a recently introduced measure to help people avoid sending money to the wrong place. Allica Bank is now part of this scheme, enabling your customers to safely send funds to you.
