What happens if I renew early?

Renewing early is absolutely fine: 

• For physical cards, your new card will arrive sooner, and you can continue using your current one until you activate the new card. 

• For virtual cards, the renewal replaces your old card immediately — your old card is deactivated when the new one is activated.
