What is the FPS fair usage fee?

There is a small fee for businesses that make a high number of outbound Faster Payments (FPS). Each Business Rewards Account includes 150 free FPS payments a month. After that, a 12p charge applies to each extra payment.

The fee is due and payable on the first day of the month based on prior month activity. If there are insufficient funds to pay the fee, a pending transaction will be placed on the account and debited when sufficient credit is placed on the account. If you have a savings pot, we’ll automatically move the amount needed into your main account before applying the fee. If there’s still not enough, the fee will appear as a pending transaction until there is.
